WB Games Montréal has been building up to Gotham Knights‘ October 25 launch with a string of trailers based on its playable characters, lengthy Q&A, and a detailed gameplay breakdown. The studio just recently released another video more like the latter, showing off an uninterrupted look at the first mission outside of its intro.

IGN, as a part of its IGN First coverage on the game, had the video exclusively on its channel. It shows a look at the player choosing what character to play as before breaking into the Gotham City Police Department to investigate a crime. The mission leads Batgirl through its tutorial, showing the basics of detective work, combat, traversal, and stealth. All of these aspects seem somewhat similar to the its Arkham counterparts, but also different in a few ways, too. The games, however, are not in the same universe.
The video also notes that it does not actually contain the literal first minutes of the game, as there is a prologue mission before this one that WB Games Montréal is keeping under wraps. It’s likely that it has heavy narrative implications that the team wants to leave for players to find out for themselves.
