Netflix has released the first teaser for Do Revenge, director Jennifer Kaytin Robinson’s upcoming dark comedy starring Maya Hawke and Camila Mendes. The film will be available for streaming on September 16.

The Do Revenge teaser, which you can check out below, offers us a preview of the main characters’ enemies in the form of Justin Abrams’s Max and Ava Carpi’s Carissa. It has also been confirmed that the full trailer will be released next Tuesday, August 9.

Do Revenge (formerly titled Strangers) is described as “a subverted Hitchcock-ian dark comedy featuring the scariest protagonists of all: teenage girls. The film centers around Drew (Alpha, it girl) and Eleanor (beta, alt girl) who, after a clandestine meet-cute, team up to go after each other’s bullies.”

The film stars Maya Hawke, Camila Mendes, Austin Abrams, Alisha Boe, Rish Shah, Talia Ryder, Ava Capri, Jonathan Daviss, Maia Reficco, Paris Berelc, and Sophie Turner.

Do Revenge is directed by Jennifer Kaytin Robinson from a screenplay she co-wrote with Celeste Ballard. Robinson is best known for directing the streamer’s popular romantic comedy film Someone Great. She has also co-written the script for Marvel Studios’ recently released Thor: Love and Thunder.

Do Revenge is executive produced by Robinson, with Anthony Bregman and Peter Cron of Likely Story serving as producers.
