Neon has officially announced that Legion star Dan Stevens and Jessica Henwick (Love and Monsters) have signed on to star opposite Euphoria actor Hunter Schafer in the forthcoming horror film titled Cuckoo. Additional cast includes Marton Csókás (Freelance), Greta Fernández (Santo) and Jan Bluthardt (Luz). Production on the project has just recently wrapped in Germany.

Cuckoo is being written and directed by Tilman Singer. Further details about the plot and characters are still being kept under wraps, but Neon has released the first-look photo featuring Schafer in her feature debut role. The film is scheduled to arrive in theaters sometime in 2023.

The film is being executive produced by Neon’s Tom Quinn, Jeff Deutchman, Emily Thomas, and Ryan Friscia. Producers are Markus Halberschmidt, Josh Rosenbaum, Maria Tsigka, and Ken Kao, Thor Bradwell, and Ben Rimmer.

Stevens gained recognition for his roles in the drama series Downton Abbey and the FX series Legion. His notable film credits includes: The Guest, Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb, Colossal, Beauty and the Beast, Her Smell, Apostle, and The Rental.

Henwick had a recurring role as Nymeria Sand in Game of Thrones. She previously starred in the action films Underwater, Love and Monsters, and The Matrix Resurrections. She will next be two high-profile films including The Gray Man and Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery.
