IFC Films has released an official trailer for Spin Me Round, the upcoming comedy film starring Alison Brie, Aubrey Plaza, and Alessandro Nivola. It is scheduled to make its debut on August 19 in theaters and on VOD.

The video features Alison Brie’s Amber, a restaurant manager who gets chosen for an immersion program in Italy. There, she meets the restaurant chain’s CEO Nick Martucci, who immediately sweeps Amber off her feet. However, as their adventure in Italy continues, the chosen participants will soon realize that there’s more to the program than meets the eye.

Spin Me Round stars Alison Brie as Amber, Alessandro Nivola as Nick, Aubrey Plaza as Kat, Molly Shannon as Deb, Lil Rey Howery as Paul, Fred Armisen as Ricky, Tim Heidecker as Fran, Tricia Helfer as Sofia, Ayden Mayeri as Jen, and Ego Nwodim as Emily.

“When the manager of an American chain restaurant is selected to attend a special training program in Italy, her head swims with dreams of European glamour and romance,” reads the synopsis. “But the trip turns out to be much different – and possibly more dangerous – than the exotic getaways she imagines.”

The film is directed and produced by Jeff Baena from a screenplay he co-wrote with Brie. It is executive produced by Mel Eslyn, Mark Duplass, Jay Duplass, and Alex Don, with Chris Parker and Dylan Sellers producing.
